This Privacy Policy describes how PeakPilot ("we", "us", or "our"), operated by an individual developer ("Developer"), collects, uses, and shares information when you use the PeakPilot mobile application (the "App") on Android devices.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This policy is provided in English only.

1. Overview

PeakPilot provides cognitive focus and mental training tools through audio and visual exercises. The App is designed to work primarily offline. We do not operate a user account system, and we do not sync your training configuration or session data to our own servers.

However, like most mobile applications, the App uses third-party services from Google that may collect certain information automatically, including for analytics, crash reporting, advertising, and in-app purchases.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device:

Your customization preferences (content type, timing intervals, voice settings, display settings)
Your selected app interface language
Other app configuration settings required for the App to function

This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. It is removed when you uninstall the App, subject to your device's operating system behavior.

We do not store a history of your training sessions on our servers. The App does not maintain a persistent session history database.

2.2 Information Collected by Third-Party Services

When you use the App, the following third-party services may automatically collect information as described in their own privacy policies:

Google Firebase Analytics

App usage events (e.g., screens viewed, features used)
Device information (device model, operating system version)
Approximate location derived from IP address
App instance identifiers

Google Firebase Crashlytics

Crash logs and stack traces
Device state at time of crash (OS version, device model, memory state)
App version and installation identifiers

Google AdMob (Advertising)

Advertising ID (GAID) and device identifiers
IP address and general device information
Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
Information used to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted

Google Play Billing

Purchase and subscription status
Transaction identifiers managed by Google Play

2.3 Information We Do Not Collect

We do not directly collect:

Your name, email address, or phone number (unless you voluntarily contact us)
Precise GPS location
Contacts, photos, microphone recordings, or calendar data
Health records or medical information
Session or activity logs stored on our servers

3. How We Use Information

We use information for the following purposes:

Provide the App: Load and apply your local customization settings
Improve the App: Understand usage patterns through analytics
Fix issues: Diagnose and resolve crashes through crash reporting
Monetization: Display advertisements to free-tier users
Subscriptions: Verify and manage Pro purchases through Google Play
Legal compliance: Comply with applicable laws and platform requirements

4. Advertising and Your Choices

Free-tier users may see banner and interstitial advertisements served through Google AdMob. Ads are not shown during active training sessions within the Play screen.

In certain regions (including the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), you may be presented with a consent dialog before personalized advertising is enabled, in accordance with applicable law.

You can limit ad personalization on your device:

Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization (wording may vary by device and Android version)
Reset your advertising ID in the same menu

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Information collected through third-party services is shared with Google as described in their privacy policies. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Data Retention

Local app data: Retained on your device until you uninstall the App or clear app data
Analytics and crash data: Retained by Google according to Firebase data retention settings and Google's policies
Advertising data: Retained by Google according to AdMob policies
Purchase data: Retained by Google Play according to Google's policies

7. Data Security

Data transmitted to third-party services is encrypted in transit using industry-standard protocols (HTTPS/TLS). Local data on your device is protected by your device's operating system security mechanisms.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including:

The right to access information held about you
The right to request correction or deletion
The right to object to or restrict certain processing
The right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

For data stored locally on your device, you can delete it by uninstalling the App or clearing app data in your device settings.

For data collected by Google services, you may need to contact Google directly or use Google's privacy tools. See Google Data & Privacy settings.

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is rated for users aged 17 and older and is not directed at children under 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

10. International Users

The App is available globally. Third-party service providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. By using the App, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in such countries.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated through the App or the Google Play Store listing where appropriate.

Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
